This office is located at Pingtung, the southernmost end of Taiwan, with a panhandle-like region area as long as 112 kilometers including 33 urban & rural townships and a city, 8 of them are mountain areas and one is an islet off Taiwan, called the Liuciou islet. The jurisdiction entails about 890,000 people in 7 police precincts.
     In order to make it convenient for residents and ease the toughness of handling cases for clients, this office established  a division office called “Hengchun Branch, Pingtung District Prosecutors Office” in order to manage criminal investigation and inspection of 6 urban and rural townships including Hengchun, Fangshan, Shihzih, Checheng, Manjhou and Mudan. Therefore, all cases  arised out of those areas are prosecuted by this office.
